CSR

Societal and environmental responsibility at the heart of Eneria

Eneria implements an environmental protection, sustainable development and societal policy for all of its stakeholders. It takes concrete and effective actions to honour all of its commitments.

Our CSR actions:

Monnoyeur’s CSR policy

The strategy of Monnoyeur, to which Eneria belongs, includes a Corporate Social Responsibility policy that highlights the group’s values in terms of ethics, the environment and safety.

Societal commitments

Gender equality at work

The French law on the “Freedom to choose my professional future” of 5 September 2018, has obliged companies to measure five indicators of gender equality and to publish their results, in the form of a gender equality index. Eneria’s gender equality index for 2021, published on 14 February 2022, was 87 points out of 100.

This index, which takes the form of a score out of 100, is made up of five indicators, which are weighted as follows.

Indicator 1: The pay gap between men and women 37/40 points
Indicator 2: The gap between pay rises 20/20 points
Indicator 3: The gap between promotions 15/15 points
Indicator 4: Percentage of female employees who received a pay rise on their return from maternity leave 15/15 points
Indicator 5: Gender parity amongst the top 10 highest-paid employees 0/15 points

Eneria is committed to continuing its action in favour of gender equality. In 2020, Monnoyeur, to which Eneria belongs, signed its Diversity Charter, which aims to promote equal opportunities and diversity throughout the group.

Personnel safety: a top priority

Our people work on sites with varied profiles and activities: gensets and UPS, cogeneration power plants, industrial engines in quarries, locomotives, marine engines, petrochemical sites and offshore rigs. Every situation has its own risks.

Protecting the health and safety of all its employees and every other operative is a major and permanent goal for Eneria. At the heart of this organisation, both management and employees have committed to implementing and meeting the legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to health and safety at work. All the measures contribute to the continual improvement of accident prevention and of the safety culture in the company.

Eneria implements and maintains an accident prevention and risk management policy by means of its ISO 9001-certified management system, which was drawn up according to the principles of OHSAS 18001.

A policy is implemented in the company to strengthen this commitment in every activity and at all levels of management.

Actions taken in favour of employee well-being

Eneria has taken numerous actions to improve the well-being and quality of life at work of its employees.

  • Group home-working agreement: In 2021, Monnoyeur introduced a group-wide home-working agreement for all eligible jobs.  The new agreement signed with the staff representatives allows every employee greater flexibility in the organisation of their work, and up to two days of home-working per week.
  • Partnership with a network of childcare centres: In 2014, Eneria introduced a childcare service in partnership with the La Maison Bleue childcare service provider in favour of the well-being and family lives of its employees.

Our commitments to environmental protection

Our headquarters in Montlhéry, France include three installations that are classified under the French law on environmental protection (ICPE). All the measures have been taken that are required to meet the requirements that regulate their activities.

In addition, several actions have been taken to protect the environment and to continually improve our performance, while always complying with the applicable regulations. These actions include:

  • Regulatory watch: creation of a system that permanently analyses compliance,
  • Cooperation: with the public organisations involved in environmental protection,
  • Waste sorting: sorting of the industrial waste produced on our production sites,
  • Processing: of all detected incidents or anomalies to prevent any impacts on the natural ecosystem,
  • Continual improvement: recording and analysis of all incidents,
  • Transparency: about the ecological impact of our activities, services and products.

Eneria is offering more and more solutions and products to its customers that enable them to reduce the ecological impact of their activities: photovoltaic panels, hydrogen gensets, thermal solar panels, biomass.

Eneria’s activities are ISO 14001-certified: this certification recognises our commitment to environmental protection and confirms the effectiveness of the measures we have taken to reduce the environmental impacts of our activities.

Sustainable development: collection of electronic waste

In an effort to reduce its ecological impact, Eneria has entered two partnerships to collect the waste produced by the sale of its photovoltaic panels, gensets and UPS.

Collection and reuse of used photovoltaic panels

Used photovoltaic panels are considered as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Consequently, Eneria has joined the SOREN eco-organisation to make sure that its used photovoltaic panels are collected from its customers and reused.

Eneria’s unique identification number with the SYDEREP (Ademe) for photovoltaics is FR025207_05L9NV.

Organisation of the collection of used photovoltaic panels

When the volume of WEEE to be recovered is less than 40 panels,
the customer is responsible for transporting the WEEE to a SOREN collection centre in France at its own cost. View the list of available centres on the SOREN website. Where to dispose of photovoltaic solar panels: find a Soren collection centre.

When the volume of WEEE to be recovered is more than 40 panels,
SOREN collects the WEEE from the customer’s site. Collection of your used photovoltaic solar panels by Soren:

  • Customers contact SOREN directly
  • SOREN organises the collection and collects the waste
  • A hazardous goods tracking form is sent to the customer

More about SOREN

SOREN is an eco-organisation that has been authorised by the French public authorities to collect and process used photovoltaic panels in France and to organise a more circular photovoltaic industry.

Collection and reuse of used gensets below 375 kWe

Used gensets below 375 kWe are considered as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Consequently, Eneria has joined the EcoSystem eco-organisation to make sure that its used equipment is collected from its customers and reused.

Organisation of the collection of used gensets

When the WEEE to be recovered weighs less than 500 kg
The customer is responsible for transporting the WEEE to an EcoSystem collection centre in France.

When the WEEE to be recovered weighs more than 500 kg,
Ecosystem organises the collection of the WEEE on the customer’s site. It is necessary to raise a used equipment collection request.

  • Customers contact EcoSystem directly
  • EcoSystem organises the collection and collects the waste
  • A hazardous goods tracking form is sent to the customer

More about EcoSystem

EcoSystem is an eco-organisation authorised by the French public authorities to collect and recycle professional waste electrical and electronic equipment.
